About this deal

Brad, who ignored me at school but searched me out at parties in hopes of this fleeting moment where he could be himself. As for the narration, I'm not sure -- I've listened to other stories performed by Kirt Graves and thought he did just fine. Perhaps it was a technical thing for this book but he didn't speak the words as "crisply" as he normally does, and overall he sounded very breathy, ending every sentence on the same note.

The title is perfectly fitted for this book, to lose him, she had to find herself, their growth apart made them better people for when they came together again. To not shoulder things as a whole but being able to lean on the other or others was their biggest learning curve. We all have bad weeks or years. Moments when it seems like everything is so overwhelming that you don’t know what to do or where to start. It’s like being in the weeds during a shift. Selena Gomez's new era in music began at midnight—and her first single, "Lose You to Love Me," is an emotional glimpse at her headspace over the last year. Gomez reflects on reclaiming herself at the end of a relationship, one fans speculated ahead of the song's release was probably hers with Justin Bieber.

This book started out GREAT! Tommy was a really fun MC, the set up was intriguing, and I was really liking Tommy and Gabe’s dynamic! And then it all came crashing down when it was revealed that Gabe has a boyfriend. 😐😐😐 And the story took a terrible turn. Suddenly, I was no longer having fun seeing these 2 rekindle their friendship/romance. I was just annoyed and honestly????? pretty disgusted with them.Regardless, I fell more and more in love with Gabe, and his coming out moment with Tommy at Prom had me in happy tears. It was one of the sweetest moments I’ve read in a book in recent memory. I’m in love! Again! Rom-Dramedy is the perfect word for this book. If I had to compare Lose You to Find Me to other books, I’d say The Sky Blues: funny, heartfelt, cute, uplifting and serious at the same time. Even though Lose You to Find Me has a romantic undertone, it’s not a romance; the story is about figuring out life at seventeen. About the choices you make or not. About friendships. About crushes and falling in love. About healthy relationships. About all the messiness and the drama AND fun, you can have at seventeen. The dancing could figuratively be their on-off relationship cycles. And leaving Bieber behind, as Gomez ultimately did in March 2018, may have been her way of reprioritizing herself over him. Us Weekly suggested, when Jelena's break was first reported, that Bieber's selfishness was why Gomez pulled the trigger. “[He] doesn’t care about anyone but himself," a source told the outlet that month. "The second she saw it, she walked away, especially now with her health. She knows she doesn’t need him.” Verse 2:

I will say that this was definitely more of a "finding yourself" book than a romance. I think the title implies that, but the cover and blurb made me think it was going to be more of a romance than it was. I did like the way the story played out, especially the idea that things don't always work out the way you planned, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. And I thought the message at the end of the book that life is full of times that are so hard as to seem impossible to get through, but that once you do get through them there are better times ahead was so important. And I liked how flawed and often misguided and self-involved the characters were. They are teenagers. They make plenty of mistakes. All that felt very real. Lose You to Find Me is book 3 in the Lindon U series. Book 2, Beg You to Trust Me, ended with a main side character, Caleb, getting down on one knee to propose to his longtime girlfriend, Raine. She said no, and I’ve been waiting for this story ever since. They were so very soft and utterly adorable in their make-out sessions, but still could find that comfortable ease of being able to talk to one another about their problems. I wish there could have been more of their relationship - more of seeing Brad and Tommy together as a couple, rather than Tommy's continuous futile attempts to make Gabriel suddenly realize that he was the one for him. 🥰🥰 Ahead of the song's release, Gomez wrote on Vevo that the song was about several life events. "This song was inspired by many things that have happened in my life since releasing my last album," she said. "I want people to feel hope and to know you will come out the other side stronger and a better version of yourself." Lose You to Find Me is a book about growing and finding yourself, and If you’re reading this review, I truly hope that you find yourself. At the bookstore- buying this book. And there's a lot of cooking! Which I personally had so much fun with because I love cooking. I SO enjoyed reading some random opinion thrown by Tommy and either vigorously agreeing or violently disagreeing with it. I'm on the fence with this book.. I LOVED the first two books, so much so i finished them within 24 hours. This just fell short.. don't get me wrong it was an amazing book but i felt the whole time it was missing something. I honestly struggled with how to rate this book..
