About this deal

The narrowness of the hallway works to our advantage. The inn is rectangular, with rooms lining the edge of one side of the hallway and a railing on the other. Over the railing one can see clear down to the first floor. A stairwell zigzags up to each floor, the only way up or down except for the windows and the long drop to the bottom. Without saying a word, she helps me to pull up the rope and reattach it so it dangles on the west side of the rooftop. Vordan’s window is on the top floor, third window from the right. Her relationship with Riden is a enemies to lovers concept with plenty of tension and flirty banter. There weren’t many beautiful lines, but I didn’t really care, because that wouldn’t really fit into this book.

Your enchantments last long after your song fades.”-Ryden! Yep, he’s still here. He has a very important role in helping Alosa learn more about herself. This helps their relationship grow in this book in a great way. It’s not always romantic. They also connect in the similarities of their upbringing, which also lets us the readers learn more about them individually.

Who we barely saw in the first book. I will be reading The Shadows Between Us soon by this author, kinda shook she isn't a NYT bestselling author yet. Anyway, see ya then 👋 I have no use for you if you don’t tell me where it is,” I say. “I will end your life. Right here. In this room. Your men will find your body in the morning.” The members of her crew she is closest with are Niridia (first mate), Mandsy (first mate during Alosa's mission and the voice of reason), and Sorinda (assassin). up and she uses her song to get the map. Vordan informs her that there were actually six guards instead of five on the night watch. The little boy rings the town bells and

With this new knowledge of her father's true nature in mind, she decides to set out on her own to claim the booty for herself and her crew. She feels no more allegiance to him. Are all dead. The four men on this roof. The five in the streets. The three on the butcher’s roof, the tanner’s, and the supply store.”

Strange Awakenings

Daughter of the Siren Queen is the sequel to Daughter of the Pirate King. We continue to follow Alosa and Riden as Alosa explores her powers and discovers dark secrets about her family as she struggles with her growing feelings for Riden.... of water for her crew. Obviously she always has a plan, although I kinda think she winged that lol. Her and Riden FINALLY admit their feelings toward each other when he is pulled This book starts off with Alosa handing over the last piece of the map to her father and capturing Vordan who reveals something that Alosa can't quite wrap her head around, but it inevitably leads her to move against the pirate king, endangering not only her life but also that of her crew. We also witness her struggle to master the siren part of her that wants nothing more than to join the sea. Each of the three Pirate Lords - the Allemos line, the Kalligan line, and the Serad line - were given a piece of an ancient map that lead to Isla de Canta. (Alosa and her father are descended from the Kalligan line).

Vordan must have warned them against a situation like this, because the men draw their cutlasses and charge. Daughter of the Siren Queen takes place a few months after the end of Daughter of the Pirate King, as Alosa and her crew, set sails towards Isla de Canta, the island of the mermaids. After betraying her father, Alose sees no other solution than to acquire a fortune big enough to defeat the Pirate King, and buy the loyalty of his men as a pirate is usually loyal to the richest. As was to be expected, this book was a roaring good time. It also got me out of my mini reading slump. The rest of the crew - boys and girls - were so cool and I would have loved to be a part of this crew! Plans change. Besides, I had all of Vordan’s men piled together in one location. How could I resist blowing it up? He has nothing now.” Alosa is devastated to learn her father has been lying to her about something very important. She feels betrayed and extremely angry. of course Riden. Ugh I miss Alosa already. My only notes are that I wish we had gotten more of her mom, she was kind of barely in the book. But I am glad we got more of her crew.
